A Major Acquisition for the WSL Side Schüller, who has half a year remaining on her deal, has been a prolific goal-getter for her club and the national team. Having scored more than 100 goals for the German giants and scored 54 times in 82 appearances for her country. Her arrival is viewed as a marquee coup for the WSL side. Her exit from Munich was expected after she was seen holding back emotions while thanking the German club’s fans after a victory over Bayer Leverkusen recently. It was reported in December that the Frauen-Bundesliga was losing one of its leading forwards. According to reports, all the paperwork for the transfer are now finalised. Consistent Goal Threat to Strengthen the Forward Line The experienced striker's signing is expected to provide a major boost to United’s forward line. She has been remarkably reliable with her finishing in the Bundesliga. Over seven consecutive seasons, including the most recent campaign, she achieved at least a double-digit tally of league goals. She claimed the Golden Boot in the 2021-22 season with a haul of 16 goals. Building Momentum at Carrington The acquisition of Schüller’s signature comes at a time when United appear to be gathering positive momentum. In the transfer market, the winter break has brought additional activity: The signing of Sweden defender Hanna Lundkvist on a multi-year deal. The contract extension for Japanese playmaker Hinata Miyazawa, a fan favourite since arriving in 2023. On Miyazawa’s extension, a senior figure commented: “Miyazawa is now a critical component to the way we play.
