The Spanish giants acquired Trent Alexander-Arnold with a six-year agreement

Trent Alexander-Arnold's rehabilitation is advancing well, raising a chance that the Madrid right-back might recover in time to face his previous team Liverpool in the upcoming Champions League match.

The 27-year-old player suffered a muscle problem while playing against Ligue 1 club Marseille in the initial phase of the tournament on 16 September.

Alexander-Arnold had to leave the pitch in the early stages, with early estimates pointing to a potential layoff of as long as six weeks.

Real Madrid are set to play at Liverpool on November 4 for the European fixture—exactly seven weeks after the injury happened.

Reports familiar with the situation indicate that the defender's recovery is advancing positively, and there is expectation that Alexander-Arnold might achieve his first appearance to Liverpool's stadium after joining Real Madrid in the summer.

A devoted Liverpool fan, Alexander-Arnold earlier remarked that leaving the club he entered as a six-year-old academy player was the "most difficult choice he has ever taken."

During his spell with the Merseyside club, Alexander-Arnold accumulated 354 appearances, contributing to claim multiple English top-flight titles, a European Cup, and the domestic cup.

Since his transfer to the Spanish capital, Alexander-Arnold has appeared five times in all competitions, logging over two and a half hours of action.
