We open with inquiries from Tory Member of Parliament the panel's head, who leads the group.

She initiates by offering background to the leaked memo prepared by Michael Prescott and printed in a national newspaper.

"I don't want the BBC slanting toward one side or the other, My only wish is for it balanced, unbiased and just," he says.

When asked if he considers the BBC is systematically partial, he replies: "No, I do not. It is important to note, a great deal the BBC produces is exceptional - encompassing factual and fictional content."

However, he continues: "There remains substantial tasks that requires attention at the British Broadcasting Corporation."

Another previous consultant British Broadcasting Corporation specialist examined by the group, Caroline Daniel, says she takes the BBC with great importance and that it maintains a "ongoing system and lively discussion" on evolving and intricate subjects.

"Was the BBC willing to conduct a thorough discussion and exchange and act accordingly?" she asks herself. "In my view, indeed, they were."
