Nigel Farage Accuses Teachers of ‘Poisoning Our Kids’ on Racial Topics

The political figure stated that teachers would go on strike within weeks a Reform UK election victory, accusing them of “harming young minds” by instructing students that African-Caribbean youth are oppressed and Caucasian students are perpetrators.

During an event for a private US Christian college, the politician expressed his perspective on British schools, stating that the “radical left-wing” had “taken over schooling”.

“I expect a walkout by educators very quickly after securing a victory,” Farage commented during a Q&A session.

“They are corrupting young minds. They are telling them to be ashamed of their country. They are telling little Johnny, who’s eight, who is black that he is a victim and little Oliver, who is white, who is eight that he is a perpetrator. They create division, not uniting us. They promote this harmful mindset.”

In response to these assertions, Daniel Kebede rejected the idea that the schools were under Marxist influence as “nonsense”. Kebede noted that any strikes must relate to teachers’ terms and conditions, and doubted whether Reform would attack these right after taking office.

“The politician has crafted his political career on dog-whistle politics and currently, similar to other figures, he is targeting educators and their unions for a fight,” Kebede stated.

“I think that’s grossly irresponsible. I don’t – and nor does my union – push critical race theory as he’s suggesting … Should he become prime minister he would sell out our public services, including education … and he would be a disaster for students and learning.”

The party, which is leading the polls by a significant margin, has provided limited specifics on its educational plans and does not appear to have designated an education lead.

However, Farage’s remarks suggested the group would reform the system and the curriculum. He said: “We have got a massive job with education – absolutely herculean. And, we can’t do it in six months or a year; it will take us years, a long-term effort to reform.”

Farage expressed that younger generations are receptive to analytical thought, but millennials were “absolutely hopeless”.

Paying tribute to a conservative activist, he commented: “All I want education to do to teach critical thinking – to instruct people that there are two points of view and you make up your own mind rather than current practices where one is virtuous and one is evil. It’s a massive job in the UK and US.”

Reform has previously clashed with the UK’s largest teaching union, after the union leader labeled them “extremist and prejudiced” and described the leader as “a poundshop Donald Trump”.

Farage has accused Kebede of being “an avowed radical” … an individual intent that our children should be poisoned at school, their minds should be poisoned regarding national issues” and maintained that the organization seeks to brainwash youth opposed to his party.

Roughly a million individuals are employed in education in the UK, about half of whom are teachers and the remainder being assistants and administrative personnel. The leading teachers’ organization has about 450,000 members.

National strikes over teacher pay and conditions in recent years led to significant interruptions in educational institutions and extensive missed instruction for students.

During the American gathering, the Reform leader also vowed to promote the online educational material of the Christian college in the UK. He stated organizations like it were “part of the fightback”, adding that: “I am serious. I’ll assist garner hundreds of thousands, if not millions of youth to your online courses. I pledge this tonight and I will follow through.”

The college, a religious educational establishment, offers free courses. Its website states: “A scientific, literary, theological, political, and moral education is necessary for personal happiness and to perpetuate the blessings of freedom. The college furnishes these beautiful courses for free to every interested learner.”
