FC Barcelona Set to Play First Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Basque side in domestic competition two and a half years since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside under the licence granted. Once fully finished, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.

Recent Activities

The club conducted an open training session on the home pitch on 7 November. The club said they are seeking authorization from Uefa to host the next European match versus the German side in December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
